# Remove Background third-party notices

The remove-background tool performs inference in the browser. Runtime and model versions are pinned so changes are reviewed before deployment.

The public RMBG-1.4 weights are licensed for non-commercial use. Users and downstream deployers are responsible for complying with the model license. The ORMBG and MODNet alternatives are included so the tool is not dependent on that model.

Large RMBG-1.4 and ORMBG weights are fetched from the pinned Hugging Face revisions and cached by the browser. The self-hosted MODNet q8 fallback is copied from the pinned revision and has SHA-256:
